If you’re a sixth-form or college student, the Nuclear Institute’s Young Generation Network want to know what you think it will take to meet Net Zero. The competition, inspired by COP26 which is the world’s biggest climate event and is being hosted by the UK this year, asks entrants to respond to one of the following three questions –
Q) As a young person, how could you work alongside local government and organisations to champion green investments and drive climate action?
Q) How could different sectors of industry, finance and technology collaborate to achieve Net Zero targets?
Q) To achieve net zero is it more important to reduce energy consumption or to increase our use of alternative energy sources (such as nuclear power and renewables)?
Responses can be either an A4 poster, a 90 second audio recording, or a 250 word summary. The top 10 submissions will be selected to speak about their chosen topic in a video conference on 7th July 2021, where the winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
The closing date for submissions is 16th May 2021 – DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 30TH MAY!
